Lecture: Conservation Qualities: Integrity, Authenticity and Sustainability

When reviewing international conservation charters in this region, it is essential to deal with historical areas as a whole by emphasising the coherent systems dominating any historical urban fabric. Integrity, authenticity and sustainability--these three define environmental qualities should be integrated and dealt with as an inseparable whole. they should be envisaged as principle measures of success for any area conservation scheme essential for balanced living in a historical environment.

  1. Hi Haya!

It's such a warm Bio that you have written about yourself! We, somehow share certain goals.

Me and my fiance - Caesar, started a website www.kuwait-music.com and we would like to promote positive music in kuwait that has benefits and positive influence during the development years of children and keep the youth from straying and going to the wrong direction life, by keeping their focus on something they love. Music.

I love the events that you have at Dar al Athar al Islamiyyah and I really think that the organization is doing far more than what people know about. And definitely the pictures and articles are not doing any justice to the huge effort spent to organize the events you have at Dar Museum.

We are already featuring most of the music related events that you guys organize there, however I was thinking about something bigger. Probably an interview with Dar Museum, more like featuring Dar Museum and who knows may be one day have a whole section for sponsoring kuwaiti talents who could become internationally famous and be an inspiration to any kuwaiti child who loves music and sees music as profession.

We would love to start by a short interview and a feature article about Dar Museum on our website.

Please let me know who we should meet and how we can take this forward :)

    Best Regards

    Hi Narine!

I actually stumbled on to your website recently! It was very exciting to see that Kuwait finally has a hub for music and musicians. What a great concept.

I am not involved with the Music Circle, I just attend and enjoy the music! But I have contacted someone involved and I will keep you updated.

You can contact me directly through haya.alsharhan@darmuseum.org.kw

Thank you for your comment and interest in DAI's Music Circle. I will email you with updates as soon as I can. :)
